FAAST-PA
FAAST-PA is a phased-array ultrasonic instrument (PAUT) that is significantly more powerful than conventional phased-array electronics.
Equipped with sinusoidal transmitters and real-time embedded data processing firmware, FAAST can transmit multiple sound beams—multi-oriented and/or multi-focused—using multi-element probes in a single shot, while simultaneously processing all received signals in real time.

- Multi-Angles (FAAST patent)The multi-angle capability is one of the key features of the FAAST Phased Array (PAUT) system, enabling the generation of angled beams through a multi-element probe in a single shot.
- Advanced DDF Shot (FAAST patent)Advanced DDF (Dynamic Depth Focusing) is another major feature of the FAAST Phased Array (PAUT) system, allowing the generation of multi-depth focused beams through a multi-element probe in a single shot.
- Multi-Frequency Shot (FAAST patent)The FAAST PA also provides the ability to transmit at different frequencies (within the probe’s bandwidth) using the same probe, firing simultaneously.
